There is also, of course, Audible, Kindle, and Amazon’s other in-house services. In addition to Goodreads, Amazon owns the Book Depository, Abe Books, ComiXology, Booksurge, Shelfari, Brillirance Audio, and more. Unfortunately, Amazon bought Goodreads in 2013.Īmazon not only started as a bookseller, but owns several sections of the book ecosystem outside of the main site.
